Remember that birdhouse that the guy was selling at the Beauty Salon?
This guy came into the shop peddling his homemade birdhouses, and you bought one for ten bucks. I remember Iris and I both thought you were gullible. Then when you put it outside I was afraid that it wouldn’t last long in the elements.
Well, you showed us all. For the past few days I’ve seen two little birds building a nest inside it. The little ones, Sparrows I think.
Even after you’re gone, the birdhouse you left is providing shelter for your beloved birds. Just like your love and the things you taught us continue to provide warmth and shelter to all who knew you.
We miss you.
