This has been on Buzzfeed, Gizmodo, and Geekosystem as well as all over Facebook where Susan Isaacs turned me on to it, but if you haven’t seen it yet it’s crazy awesome.

A Redditor (yeah, I have no idea what that is either) who goes by the name of Mayniac182 suspected, as many of us have, that one of his professors didn’t really read all of his students papers. So, like you do, he painstakingly inserted the lyrics to the 1987 Rick Astley song Never Gonna Give You Up into a paper for a Computer Science class, basically rickrolling his prof big time.*

Here’s the original without the Astleyisms highlighted. It doesn’t make any sense of course, but it’s a computer paper so it wouldn’t make any sense to me:

And now here’s a highlighted version:

As far as I can see, we have no word yet on how his professor has reacted to the paper, but as far as I’m concerned brother man deserves an A just for working the words “goodbye” and “aching” into a computer science paper.

* If you are unfamiliar with the concept of being rickrolled, the link above will provide an explanation; but be assured fervent readers, this is something I would never do to you.
